Game 13
Dodgers 9 - Yankees 5

The Dodgers' strong pitching carried them past the Yankees 9-5 in a game marred by errors by both teams. The Dodgers got out to a quick start scoring 3 times in the first inning against the host Yankees. Keith Neuberger led the inning off with a single, advanced to second when Pete Loizzo walked, and scored on a single by Trevor Foss. Loizzo and Foss eventually scored on separate fielder's choice plays. The Yankees answered with a run in their half of the first. Ryan Koeberl walked with 1 out and was pushed around on singles by Ross Rogers and Zach Tourdot. They then tied the game in the second, the big blows being a leadoff double by Boyd Maske and an RBI single by Jake Kuehne. The Yankees were held to lone runs in the 4th and the 6th. After a single run in the third, the Dodgers scored 2 runs in each of their final two at bats taking advantage of 6 walks and 2 hit batters in those frames to put the game out of reach. All 4 of those runs were scored without the Dodgers getting a hit. However, Ike Neher had another quality at bat leading off the Dodger 6th and eventually scoring on a fielder's choice.

The difference in the game for the Dodgers was the precision of pitchers Tanner Davis and Keith Neuberger. The Dodger hurlers allowed only 3 free passes, walking 2 and hitting 1. They also struck out 9, fortunately minimizing the number of times the ball had to be handled on this particular day.
